Town of Danby, New York
The Town of Danby has received funds from New York State for the following two housing rehabilitation programs. These funds are to be distributed to qualifying Danby homeowners. Please read on to see if you may be eligible to receive funds.
1. Single-Family, Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Funds
Please note: Applications are not currently being accepted for this program. All money received by the town for this housing rehabilitation program has been distributed.
However, if you are a low-to- moderate income single-family homeowner (earnings up to 80% of the Area Median Income) who needs code, health and safety, weatherization, and energy efficiency repairs to your home, please contact town planner Greg Hutnik (607- 592-0417) and he will add you to a list to receive notification should the town be awarded additional funding.

2. Income Property Housing Rehabilitation Funds
The funds from this grant will be used for the rehabilitation of substandard, 2-4 unit rental properties in the town of Danby where at least 51% of occupants qualify as low-to-moderate income.
The town is accepting applications for these funds as of spring 2024. Please see below for more information and how to apply.
