The Danby Code Enforcement Office is responsible for the enforcement of local & some statewide ordinances & regulations including Building Permits & Fire Inspections

Building Permit Application Packet
For complete instructions on applying for a Building Permit, please view this instructions document.
Building permit applications require the following forms to be submitted:
- Building Permit Application
- Notice of Ground Disturbance Worksheet
- New York State’s Certificate of Attestation of Exemption (this link takes you to NYS webpage with instructions for completing the CE-200 form. Once completed, you will need to submit the signed form to the Danby Code Enforcement Officer)
- Ungraded Lumber Certification Form
In addition, our office is responsible for assigning address numbers. Address signs that meet code requirements can be ordered from your local fire departments, and the forms can be found here: West Danby or Danby.
Monthly reports summarizing building activity and other work done by the Code Office are available to the public.
