On November 3, from 10:00am-noon, the Community Science Institute (CSI) will be holding a “Water Quality Data Jam” at the Tompkins County Public Library in the BorgWarner Room. This free event will give attendees a chance to explore questions they come up with themselves, such as “Where on Cayuga Lake do Harmful Algal Blooms occur most frequently?”
CSI volunteers have collected water quality data in the Cayuga Lake Watershed for many years. We invite you to explore these data at our upcoming Water Quality Data Jam event, which will give community members an opportunity to delve into the data to find water quality answers for themselves. CSI staff will be present to guide teams through using our water quality database.
Attendees will work on teams to address their water quality questions. At the end of the event, all teams will share their findings.
