Feb 6: Information Session on Programs and Services provided by the Office for the Aging

Office for the Aging 2024 Public Hearing

The Tompkins County Office for the Aging will hold its annual Public Hearing on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Danby Community Church, 1859 Danby Road, Ithaca.  The Public Hearing provides a venue for community members to learn about programs and services provided by the Office for the Aging.  It is also an important opportunity for the public to offer feedback about issues affecting older adults in our community and to provide input for the departments plan for 2024.

The Office for the Aging are also asking the public for input regarding the services that they provide to the community.  They  invite members to provide this input through a very brief survey.  You may access this survey by visiting https://www.surveymonkey.com/COFA or by calling their office at 607-274-5482 and a staff person will record your feedback over the phone. The survey will remain open through February 28th.

The Town of Danby sits on the traditional & ancestral land of the Gayogoho:no’ (Cayuga Nation), one of the five nations to first form the Haudenosaunee. Indigenous peoples were largely forced out of Upstate New York by the Sullivan-Clinton Expedition in 1779. The land that would become the Town of Danby was a part of the Watkins and Flint Purchase, a 336,380 acre patent granted by New York State to numerous eastern investors in 1794.
