Town Hall, 1830 Danby Road, Ithaca, NY 14850
A smaller, community focused Halloween event providing a fun, safe and festive experience for spooks of all ages!
About this Event
What is a Trunk-or-Treat event?
The idea of TRUNK-or-treating was inspired by families who were interested in a safer or more convenient form of door-to-door trick-or-treating. Typically a trunk-or-treat event would take place in a school, church or community center parking lot. Parents and families would decorate their cars, come in costumes and hand out candy to other families.
OUR trunk-or-treat event will take place at our beloved Dotson Park (1825 Danby Rd, Ithaca NY 14850).
This event is FREE. Tickets options are “Trunk-or-Treat car” or “Participant”:
The “Trunk-or-Treat car” is for families or individuals who would like take part in decorating a car and handing out candy.
The “Participant” ticket is for anyone interested in simply going through the Trunk-or-Treat event.
IF you would like to decorate a car AND you have kids wanting to go through the Trunk-or-Treat event, PLEASE select BOTH the “Trunk-or-Treat car” ticket and appropriate number of “Participant” tickets.

The Town of Danby sits on the traditional & ancestral land of the Gayogoho:no’ (Cayuga Nation), one of the five nations to first form the Haudenosaunee. Indigenous peoples were largely forced out of Upstate New York by the Sullivan-Clinton Expedition in 1779. The land that would become the Town of Danby was a part of the Watkins and Flint Purchase, a 336,380 acre patent granted by New York State to numerous eastern investors in 1794.
