Event Series: Town Board Meeting ~ First Monday

1st Monthly Town Board Meeting + Public Hearings

3 November 2025 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Two public hearings will be held at this meeting. They will start at 6pm. 

The first public hearing will be on the 2026 proposed preliminary budget. The public is welcomed to come and share their opinions with the Danby Town Board during the public hearing. Comments and questions may also be submitted in writing to the Town Clerk (townclerk@danby.ny.gov; 1830 Danby Road).

 

Town of Danby will hold a second public hearing on November 3rd, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Danby Town Hall, located at 1830 Danby Road, Ithaca, NY 14850 for the purpose of hearing public comments. The Town of Danby’s current Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) project, 300HR327-23, is for a Multi-Unit Income Property (2–4 units) with a total project amount of $153,900.

 

The CDBG program is administered by the New York State Office of Community Renewal (OCR), and provides resources to eligible local governments for housing, economic development, public facilities, public infrastructure, and planning activities, with the principal purpose of benefitting low/moderate income persons. The hearing will provide further information about the progress of the ongoing CDBG project. Comments related to the effectiveness of administration of the CDBG project will also be received at this time. The hearing is being conducted pursuant to Section 570.486, Subpart I of the CFR and in compliance with the requirements of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended.
