Tompkins County Health Department today reminded us that New York State now requires that businesses and venues implement a mask requirement or require proof of fully vaccinated status to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Tompkins County Public Health Director Frank Kruppa stated, “Masks and vaccination are two of the best tools to stop the spread of COVID-19. It is more important than ever for us all to wear a mask while we are indoors and around others and get vaccinated and boosted as soon as we are able….”
The Town of Danby has required that masks be worn by all who enter Town Hall, regardless of vaccination status, since the summer when the previous mask mandate was lifted. The Town of Danby stands by its commitment to keep its staff, residents, and others who visit Town Hall safe from COVID-19 exposure. We continue to appreciate everyone who complies and understands the need for such safety measures with numbers of positive cases increasing every day.
