On April 8th 2025, the Danby Conservation Advisory Council (“CAC”) organized a presentation by Grascen Shidemantle, PhD, Executive Director of the Community Science Institute at the Danby Town Hall.
She spoke about CSI’s mission and services; their certified water testing lab; their open database with data collected over several decades on local waters from various CSI projects; and about a new collaboration with Trout Unlimited to assess and possibly remediate and stock several headwater streams in Danby with native Brook trout.
