Attracting Birds to Your Garden
Birds add color, movement and essential insect control to our gardens. This class will help you learn to create a habitat to attract and support more birds in your garden. Topics covered will include providing food, shelter and water for birds, designing your garden using layers for ideal bird habitat, and native plants that provide seasonally appropriate foods for birds.
About the instructor: Chrys Gardener currently teaches online courses in Organic Gardening and Garden Design at Cornell’s School of Integrated Plant Science and manages an ecological garden design and installation business with her husband. Chrys was formerly a horticultural educator at CCE Tompkins, specializing in community gardens and county beautification. She is also a dedicated food gardener, producing most of their vegetables and fruits for the year on their small homestead.
Class Recording: All classes are recorded so if you cannot make the live class, you can watch the video however only participants who have registered in advance for the class will have access to the video recording which is sent 48 hours later to registrants. Register and pay below.
Our goal is to help our areas gardeners have access to this knowledge, free from financial barriers. We have several scholarship spots in each class. If you would like a scholarship spot, please reach out to Maria Christian at email@example.com
